Your energy bill shows how much electricity you’ve used, daily charges, and other costs. Here’s what each section means to help you find your usage, rates and total amount due. Hover over the info icons for explanations of each section.

Cover Page
Each monthly invoice has its own unique number.
The date your invoice was issued.
This unique number identifies the site where we supply your electricity. If you have multiple accounts, you’ll get separate bills for each one.
Your dedicated contact person at Simply Energy who's here to help with any questions and help you optimise your electricity usage.
Any amount left over from your previous bill after payments.
Provides information on our bank details for payment
If you’ve requested a purchase order number for your account, you’ll find it here.
The total amount for this month’s charges, including GST.
The amount you owe.
Total charges for electricity and other services excluding GST.
When your payment needs to be made. If you pay by direct debit, this is the date money will be deducted from your account.

Previous Balance

Shows any payments, credits and charges on your accounts since your previous invoice.

Current Charges

This section shows all related charges for each ICP.
Your ICP number and site description. If you have asked for a PO number per ICP, it will be displayed here.
If your meter needs manual reading, you'll see previous and current readings plus total energy used. If we estimate a reading, we'll show when we last got an actual reading. If meter reads aren’t shown it means we get automatic half-hourly data from your meter.
When we need to correct previous charges due to updated information, we’ll reverse the old charges and apply the correct ones.
The cost of electricity you’ve consumed, measured in kilowatt-hours (kWh). Your rate depends on your contract and how much energy you use.
Energy that's lost during generation, transmission, or distribution before reaching your site.
Fees from your local network company for maintaining power lines, transformers and substations. These vary based on your network and site setup.
Includes our administration fee (covering meter lease and equipment costs), the Electricity Authority Levy, and any site-specific services like meter upgrades.
Total charges for ICP or service per month excluding GST.
Total charges for month excluding GST.
