If you’re a Time-of-Use customer on 144 pricing, the Energy Savings Simulator lets you explore savings from shifting consumption from higher-priced to lower-priced periods or from reducing your overall consumption.
The simulator applies your current pricing to your historical usage to estimate potential savings from shifting and/or reducing consumption.
Choose the business, site(s), and billing period you want to review.
Enter your normal operating hours and choose whether you want to shift consumption or reduce it, either within or outside those hours. Then select how much you want to shift or reduce.
See estimated savings* and insights based on your inputs. You can also adjust your initial selections to see how this affects your savings.
*Potential savings are an estimate only and may differ if your usage patterns have changed. Saved simulations are not updated for pricing changes and will no longer be valid.

The Energy Savings Simulator is a useful first step, but you may need more detailed data to get to the root of what’s happening onsite. Sub-metering can provide deeper insight into how specific equipment, production lines or areas use energy and where the biggest opportunities lie. If you already have sub-metering, or are thinking about it, our Site iQ service, which includes sub-metering, is one option that can help you make sense of that data and turn it into practical actions.
The simulator is available in Simply Online (our customer portal) as soon as you join, but it needs at least three months of historical consumption data to produce useful results. Yes, but you will only be able to use the simulator for sites/ICPs on 144 pricing.

The simulator is designed to help you explore the cost-saving potential of shifting and/or reducing usage. It’s not a tool for accurately forecasting future costs.
